Considering, the many pitfalls of existing OS, I don't see a happy development happenning.

Other than that qualm, it's like: go for it!

I love this quote:

"We'll have intelligent nanobots go into our brains... to make us smarter "

It's probably the most absurd form of futurism I've ever heard.

Nonsense! The mere thought of a year 2029 is ridiculous!

What gibberish!

Ok, obviously, you guys didn't get the Terminator reference

I mean, why 2029? Why not 2030? Hollywood influence?

because 2029 sounds cool. It sounds like something that wasn't just made up but something that's the result of many many calculations. Also, probably because in 2030 the machines take over and human civilization ends. Right?

Ok, I'm just going to have to spell it out. In the movie, The Terminator, there is a robot called a terminator that comes from the year 2029. Hence the strangeness of having some quack say that machines will pretty much replace humans by 2029. Because it is common to not use a round number in Science Fiction (like 2001), and because supposed reality is imitating fiction, I find the year 2029 does sound very made up.

Yes of course, but the year 2029 in itself is just plain impossible, as I was saying.
2029 : not happening.
