On a more serious note.

The Canadian version of the DMCA is being revived after dying a quick and merciful death last fall. Here's the facebook group pushing for fair copyright legislation in Canada and here's the group's website.

I'm not going to explain the whole thing because honestly I know as much about law as Dave knows about Monkey Island but here's a youtube discussion on the matter:

And even then, I firmly believe that over-restrictive drm is only hurting the music corps.

I've purchased many an itune song and album, and i was really bummed out when I could not even play it on my phone! MY phone. fuck.

Luckily, many songs are now available with reasonable drm on itunes.
