While that movie was absolutely terrible it did rekindle my love for Demi More.
That being said, this movie looks good and Equilibrium not withstanding I've never seen Bale in a movie I didn't like. Even if I don't trust the director I trust him...
no, i never did see shaft. I didn't like equilibrium because it felt like a movie that was trying too hard to be deep and ended up being ham handed. Visually it was great but thematically it fell really short. And I had a lot of trouble getting around the ideas of gun katas which were blatantly stupid. Batman, the Machinist, american Psycho, Empire of the Sun and 3:10 to yuma were all great though. I think they outweigh one or two shitty or average movies.
My play experience with Swing Kids has ruined every chance of me liking the movie. I haven't seen it, is Bale in that? Does he play the good boy turned nazi?

I might not even go see that movie, it could ruin the trailer experience.
Man, forget Matrix, Star Wars, LOTR, Batman, or whatever. This is what I grew up on and this is what I've been waiting for.
In the words of William Butler Yeats (as quoted in another great Bale movie), I say this to the director: "Tread lightly for you tread on my dreams".
Seriously. There is cause for concern. The man directed Charlie's Angels Full Throttle. I've seen that movie on a plane once...my god...

Actually, the great Bale movie I was referring to was Equilibrium. I really liked it. For once, it was a bad idea with a good execution.
