It reminds me of how your mind plays tricks on you when you're walking on the platform next to a moving metro train. You have trouble perceiving how fast you and it are moving because of relative motion. I can't imagine being in a moving car next to other moving cars under a moving giant bus with a moving horizon and then being told to stop at a stop sign.
