My life has changed as well. I shall nevermore take a cake for granted. What I once saw as mere food I now see as a vector conveying the truth of the human condition with its delicious frosting and moist tenderness. The juxtaposition of the anus to the cake has turned upside down the prevalent wisdom that the digestive system is unidirectional and the farts... well, they have underlined how subjective experiences can be. After all, as they say: everyone loves their own brand.
